Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

The application for fall 2020 admission is now closed. Applications for fall 2021 open in September 2020.

Important Dates for Fall 2020 Admission

We recommend that you check your LORIS account frequently to verify that we have received your documents or to view a list of outstanding documents.

Note: We cannot guarantee that we will consider incomplete or late applications.

    • Completed online TEAS application.
    • TEAS application fee (note: Laurier will accept your TEAS application fee up until Dec. 6, 2019).
    • Transcript request for every Ontario university and college you attended.
  • Laurier must receive the following documentation by Dec. 6, 2019:
    • Completed online experience profile (mandatory for all applicants).
    • Completed online teachable requirements form (mandatory for Junior/Intermediate applicants).
    • Official postsecondary institution transcript(s).
    • Official postsecondary institution transcript translation and/or WES evaluation (if applicable).
    • Official English-language test results or supporting documentation for your English proficiency exemption (if applicable).
    • Your official transcript(s) from any international institution(s) you attended on an international exchange or on a Letter of Permission (if applicable).
  • If you are a Junior/Intermediate applicant taking courses for your teachable subject requirements in the fall term, you must submit a second unofficial transcript by Jan. 10, 2020 showing your updated grade information.

  • All Junior/Intermediate applicants who applied for French as their teachable are required to complete an onsite French proficiency assessment on Jan. 14, 2020. See additional details below.

  • Applicants who are eligible for services through the Accessible Learning Centre are encouraged to contact that office during the application process. Accommodations requested within the Professional Development School (PDS) site often require extensive time to review, determine and implement. The final decision on such accommodations rests with the partnering school board.

French Proficiency Assessment

Applicants to the French teachable must complete a mandatory onsite French proficiency assessment as part of the admissions process. If you absolutely cannot make this test in-person, you must contact Bruce Alexander immediately at balexander@wlu.ca.
