Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Business Administration (BBA) (Laurier) and Computer Science (BCS) (University of Waterloo) Double Degree

 waterloo

The Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Laurier and the Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo (UW) have teamed up to give you two highly respected degrees from our two outstanding institutions. In this double-degree program, you’ll earn both a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) from UW and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Laurier in only five years.

As a graduate of this program, you’ll be in high demand in today’s information-rich society, where global companies are looking for employees with both computer science and business management knowledge.

You must meet the requirements of both programs to be accepted. If you choose to apply to Laurier and accept Laurier’s offer of admission, your main campus will be Laurier and you will automatically be entered into Laurier’s business degree co-op program, the largest business co-op program in Canada. You’ll take classes at both universities and receive a student card from both universities for convenience.

Courses cover areas such as computer programming, data structures, software engineering, operating systems and social implications of computing. These are complemented by courses in finance, operations, accounting, marketing, organizational behaviour, human resource management and business policy. Our double-degree program is for students who want an accelerated, challenging program and a competitive advantage in the workforce.
