Faculty of Human and Social Sciences

In the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, we explore the complex issues of today’s society and the human condition.

Located in the heart of downtown Brantford, our students build real-world connections between what they learn in the classroom and the community just outside the classroom door. We immerse our students with opportunities to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, so they graduate with skills to tackle a variety of career paths.

Our faculty members promote research that empowers our communities with tools and tactics to build solutions for social issues, and inspires our students to be catalysts for change.

    Our Programs

The Faculty of Human and Social Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate academic programs across six academic departments.

We offer traditional in-person programming, and online for non-traditional students to experience all our faculty has to offer. Many of our programs are new and explore issues relevant today in our communities, teaching our students critical thinking and how to question assumptions.
