The Centre for Public Safety and Well-Being is a growing Continuing Education centre offering exciting learning opportunities for people working or aspiring to work in a wide range of industries, including public safety, health, wellness and well-being.
These online certificates explore evidence-based best practices, supporting positive mental health and well-being in workplaces, educational settings and for personal growth and resilience.
Positive Psychology and Education Certificates
A collaborative program with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), this 2.0 credit online certificate fits well with many Bachelor degrees such as Criminology, Global Studies, Law, Human Rights, and Political Science. Working professionals will find the online, short courses fit easily into their busy lives.
The Canadian Criminal Code requires additional factors to be considered when sentencing Indigenous offenders. This online course takes a comprehensive look at Canadian Criminal Code Gladue Section 718.2(e) and Gladue Principles of justice from a historical, contemporary, practical and critical lens.
