Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Recruiting current students, graduating students or alumni? We invite you to submit job postings for summer, part-time and full-time employment.

Laurier's comprehensive recruitment services available to you include:

  • Advertising your positions in Navigator, our online career portal for students, alumni and employers.
  • Targeting postings to the audience you are hoping to attract.
  • Collecting the applications and forwarding them to you after the deadline.
  • Arranging employer recruiting sessions and recruiting booths prior to application deadlines.
  • Scheduling interviews at Laurier or at your preferred office location.

Be sure to check out our recruitment best practices for recruiting tips.

Post a Job

Opportunities may be posted directly in our Navigator online portal. Alternatively, you can email your posting to recruitlaurier@wlu.ca

If you are a new employer, complete the employer account registration. If you have already created an account or previously posted a job at Laurier, simply click login.

Create Your Posting

Click "Post a Job," select "Off-Campus Job Postings" and complete the posting form. Position types you can select from are the following:

  • Graduating Student Employment: Final-year students seeking full-time jobs after graduation. Typically, roles are entry-level and require less than one year of experience.
  • Immediate Full-Time: Alumni/recent graduates for immediate full-time/contract openings.
  • Summer and Part-Time Employment: Enrolled or returning students looking to work May to August (summer) and throughout the year (part-time).

Your posting is displayed to students/alumni once approved by a Career Centre staff member.

Increase Exposure for Your Job Posting

A featured job posting is prominently displayed on the student dashboard in Navigator and includes a link for direct access to your posting. The fee is $50 plus HST per posting. To feature your posting, select the "Featured Job" option and upload your organization's logo when you post your position in Navigator.

Schedule Interviews

The Career Development Centre can schedule interviews for you, either at Laurier or your office. Laurier’s Career Centre provides professional interviewing facilities for organizations wishing to conduct interviews on campus. The interview facilities contain space for individual and group interviews. Lunch options will be discussed with you and visitor parking is provided free of charge during your visit as well as an employer lounge available throughout the day. Contact recruitlaurier@wlu.ca to request assistance with interview scheduling and space requests.
