The deadline to accept your offer of admission through OUAC is June 1, 2026, unless a different deadline is listed on your offer. Make sure you understand the terms and conditions of your offer. If you fail to satisfy any of your offer conditions, your offer of admission will be changed to another program or rescinded.
Once you accept your offer, pay your $2,000 CAD tuition deposit within two weeks. You can submit your deposit through the CIBC International Student Pay portal or, if you have a Canadian bank account, through online banking. Include "Tuition Deposit" in the payment notes.
Do not submit your tuition deposit until after you have accepted your offer.
Once your tuition deposit has been processed, we will initiate a request for a provincial attestation letter (PAL) on your behalf. A PAL is required for your undergraduate study permit application. If you have questions regarding the other documentation required for your study permit application, connect with an advisor from International Support Services during their virtual 1-on-1 drop-in sessions.
If you plan to attend summer school to upgrade your courses and satisfy your offer conditions, you must let us know by submitting the Summer School Registration Notification form. It is your responsibility to make sure we receive your updated grades.
If you’re currently studying in an Ontario high school, your school will send us your final transcripts automatically.
Studying anywhere else? Send in your official, final documents by July 15, 2026, or the deadline stated on your offer of admission, if applicable.

Scholarships, bursaries and awards are available through money that Laurier has set aside to help you fund your education with us. We offer several awards all with different criteria to help you get one step closer to your dreams, whether you are a high school student attending university for the first time, or a transfer student exploring a new path.
Laurier’s entrance scholarships and President’s Gold scholarships are automatically awarded when we assess your application. Check your offer of admission letter in your application portal.
You should also take advantage of the other application-based scholarship opportunities available to you.
Bursary supports are available for first-year and upper-year students based on financial need. There are opportunities to apply for bursaries throughout the academic year. Application required.
Several scholarships are awarded each year to incoming international students who inspire lives of leadership and purpose in their communities and through extracurricular activities.
Every year, you can apply for competitive scholarships, awards, and bursaries by completing an online student award profile about yourself through LORIS. Awards are granted based on the information you provide, including your interests, involvement, financial need, academic achievement and more.
Descriptions of Laurier’s awards opportunities are listed on the Student Awards Search Engine, and each description indicates if it is an award or a scholarship, as well as the eligibility criteria for each.
The application process begins in July, and you can complete the profiles after you accept your offer.
In your upper years at Laurier, you will be automatically considered for in-course scholarships based on your Laurier GPA (grade point average). In-course scholarships are valued between $1250 and $1,500 annually. In-course scholarships begin at a GPA of 10.5 (approximately 82.5%) and above.
Residence will most likely be your first community at Laurier, the first people you’ll meet and the first memories you’ll make. Residence life is a great way to get involved and learn about your new home.
First-year residence is guaranteed* to all undergraduate students attending postsecondary for the first time, provided you submitted your application and $600 deposit before June 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. The residence application will open in early April.
Transfer students can inquire to see if there is space available in residence after June 1.

Whether you are coming directly from high school, transferring from another college or university or getting back to academics after some time off, studying in university may be different than your previous experiences.
Many students find they need to upgrade their academic skills or study habits in order to thrive at Laurier. Don’t worry, we’re here to help.
Make sure you review the Course Registration Guide to determine your program requirements and sign-up for a course registration webinar as part of Laurier 101.
If you received 4.0 or more transfer credits, you may be considered an upper-year student, which means you will register for courses in mid-July. The registration guide contains instructions on how to find your registration time ticket.
Make an appointment with an academic advisor prior to registering for courses. We recommend all transfer students do this, to help plan your program pathways, to determine the best way to utilize any transfer credits received and to help you navigate program and course requirements.
You are encouraged to submit your course outlines for a transfer credit reassessment within the first year of studies at Laurier to avoid completing repeated content. If you have any questions, please contact transfercredit@wlu.ca.
