Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

We’re thrilled to hear you’re interested in continuing your education at Laurier!
Before you apply through OUAC (the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre), make sure you take a close look at the information available on the program webpages, including application deadlines and admissions requirements. If you have any questions about the program you’re interested in, we encourage you to contact the graduate coordinator with any questions. If you’d like to visit our campuses, you can sign up for a tour through our Welcome Centres.
If you are applying to a program for which you will have a research advisor, it’s recommended that you reach out to your preferred program before applying in order to find an advisor.
Most programs consider applications until they're full. Consult the application checklist to find out when your desired program begins assessing applications and if there is a firm application deadline.
Before you apply, ensure you meet the admission requirements of your intended program and that the program will meet your academic and career goals. Entry into our programs is competitive and possession of the admission requirements does not guarantee entry.
Our general admission requirements are:
Full admission requirements are outlined on each program’s page.
Please see our International Applicants page for specific application instructions.
Once you’ve reviewed the deadlines and admission requirements, you’re ready to apply. Your first step is completing the online application through Laurier’s page on OUAC (Ontario Universities’ Application Centre). Once this step is completed, please proceed to Step 2. Should you have any technical questions while applying through OUAC, please contact gradapps@ouac.on.ca or 519-823-1063.
Please note that your referees will receive an auto-generated email based upon the contact information you provide on your OUAC application. Tips for seeking academic references can be found here. You are also encouraged to review the FAQ section for information regarding the reference letter and referee process.
Application information is collected under the authority of the Wilfrid Laurier University Act to administer the university-student relationship. This includes but is not limited to maintaining your academic and ancillary records, contacting you, and others, on your behalf, and releasing such information as is appropriate for the operation of the university.
