The Laurier Academy of Music and Arts (LAMA) and the Laurier Faculty of Music collaborate on several intensive programs every spring. Designed for musicians looking to accelerate their artistic growth, these programs provide focused training, mentorship and performance opportunities in an immersive one- to two-week format.
QuartetFest
QuartetFest is an intensive chamber music program that brings young artists from across Canada and abroad together with world-renowned performers. It is is one of the most anticipated spring festivals by chamber music lovers and young musicians.
QuartetFest is hosted by Laurier's Faculty of Music, the Penderecki String Quartet and the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Music Society.
Piano Lab
Piano Lab is an intensive spring program designed to help students strengthen specific areas of their playing through focused, individualized instruction. Participants work intensively on technical, musical and performance skills, making significant progress in a short period of time.
Voice Lab
Voice Lab is an intensive five-day workshop for voice students and singers from both the Laurier community and beyond. Through focused training and mentorship, participants deepen their vocal technique, artistic expression and performance skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
