Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Admission to our Faculty of Education is based on your academic achievement and on information submitted in your experience profile. If you're applying to the French as a Second Language (FSL) Primary/Junior program, or the French teachable in the Junior/Intermediate program, you'll also be required to complete the onsite French proficiency assessment.

Application Confirmation Email

Once you apply, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing information about your LORIS (Laurier's Online Registration and Information System) account. LORIS is our primary point of contact with you. Use LORIS to view your list of required documents to complete your application. If you apply to more than one program, you only need to send one copy of your required documents.

If you apply to both the Primary/Junior and Junior/Intermediate programs, you will receive an admissions decision on each application. If you apply to more than one teachable (Junior/Intermediate), you will only receive an admission decision on one of your teachable choices. You are asked to rank them in your order of preference. If you apply to the Primary/Junior FSL program and are not admitted, you will automatically be considered for the non-FSL Primary/Junior program.

Admission Decisions

Feb. 1, 2022 will be the earliest date to receive an offer of admission. Log into your LORIS account to view the decision made on your Bachelor of Education application. Laurier does not mail offers of admission. You will be able to access your offer of admission letter in your LORIS account. If you receive an offer of admission, your offer letter will indicate:

  • Additional information regarding the deadline to accept your offer.
  • The deadline to submit final transcripts.
