Your first year at university is a time of tremendous change and growth. You’ll be meeting new people and introduced to new ideas. And you’ll be studying and learning in ways completely different from what you’ve already experienced.
It’s an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming. We offer programs that will help you prepare for university.
Laurier 101 is a collection of programs specifically tailored for incoming students that support you from the time you accept your offer until the first week of classes and beyond. All students can participate in Laurier 101 programming, including transfer and international students.
Registration webinars will guide you through the process of choosing your classes and completing your registration on LORIS.
Laurier Life will be your guide to all things Laurier as you prepare for a successful first year. Gain insights on how to manage your classes, find out how to access campus supports, learn how to join campus clubs and activities, and get tips from senior students.
Orientation Week (O-Week) activities will guide you through your first days as a Laurier student. The week is full of activities to introduce you to campus and to your fellow first-year students.
Whether you're living on campus or off campus, transferring from another institution, coming from another country or coming back as a mature student, there is something for everyone at orientation week!
Transition Connections: Orientation to Accessible Learning is designed to introduce students with documented disabilities to support services offered at Laurier.
TriAGe helps prepare students who plan to enrol in an entry-level university calculus course by reinforcing fundamental skills in trigonometry, algebra and geometry.
