Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Intellectual Property and Copyright

Wilfrid Laurier University has an inventor-own policy, meaning that, in general, a faculty member or a student who creates an intellectual property owns it, unless there is an agreement to the contrary.

The details are governed by university policies for faculty intellectual property (see Article 36 in the WLUFA Collective Agreement) and student intellectual property (see University Policy 11.3, Ownership of Student-Created Intellectual Property). Please consult the university policies and contact the Office of Research to discuss details.
