Develop your career through advanced graduate level studies at Laurier’s Faculty of Education. We offer two Master of Education (MEd) degree programs:
The Master of Education degree (interdisciplinary focus and student affairs focus) is designed to be completed part-time over two years and is a course-based degree.
Our interdisciplinary master’s program provides professional learning across many employment sectors in areas such as collaborative learning and instruction, innovative education through emerging technologies, and high-impact practices for teaching, learning and leadership. The Master of Education is attractive to educational leaders and professionals in a wide range of corporate and not-for-profit industries, health and community service organizations, and post-secondary institutions, as well as public and private school systems.
The Master of Education, Student Affairs Field allows candidates to focus their master’s level studies in student affairs and services and will provide candidates with the requisite skills and knowledge to assume diverse roles within student affairs and services at higher education institutions.
The student affairs field explores a cross section of student affairs services (e.g. academic support and services; academic advising; student life; residence education; wellness and recreation; and work, leadership, and volunteering) that impact the quality of students’ postsecondary experiences. The student affairs field is appropriate for current student affairs professionals or those seeking a career in student affairs and services in postsecondary institutions.
What makes Laurier’s Master of Education exemplary?

– Karen Klee, BSc, RN; Professor, Faculty of Human Services, Fanshawe College; Laurier MEd student 2016.
