Print | PDFOn April 1, Wilfrid Laurier University varsity teams are facing off in the third annual 24-hour Golden Hawks Giving Challenge.
Student-athletes are competing to reach their donor count and fundraising targets before the buzzer goes at 11:59 p.m. on April 1. Every dollar – and every donor – helps your team get closer to achieving its goals.
“By taking part in the Golden Hawks Giving Challenge, you help provide critical resources for Laurier’s varsity teams,” says Courtney Bruce (BA ’16, MEd ’21), senior coordinator, sport and athlete services in Athletics and Recreation. “Your donation will go toward supporting enhanced coaching opportunities, exhibition and pre-season travel, strength and conditioning programs, nutrition, athletic therapy, specialized equipment and more.”
As part of the challenge, there is $12,000 in additional funds available for teams to win. With 10 challenges for teams to compete in, donors determine which teams qualify for the additional funds. Donate now to put your team in the running for the Warm-Up Challenge – all teams who receive three donations before April 1 will have a chance to win a $500 prize.
Check the team leaderboards on April 1 to track results in real time.
