Print | PDFWilfrid Laurier University mourns the passing of alumnus Kenneth ‘Ken’ Will (BA ’75). Ken started his studies at Laurier during the early 1960s, playing varsity football and hockey. He completed his degree part-time, graduating in 1975 with a BA in Political Science.
Ken is a Laurier Athletics Hall of Fame Team Member for Football from 1966 to 1968.
Ken started his career in education with the Peel Board of Education. After nearly 20 years as a teacher, he went on to found two multi-million-dollar business and technology companies: Kitimat Systems Inc., a transportation management software business he sold to Disney, and Thoughtspeed eCommerce, which he sold five years prior to his retirement.
Ken remained connected to Laurier through his regular participation in the Laurier Golf Classic, and as a generous philanthropic supporter of Athletics and Recreation and the Supply Chain area of the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics.
He spent his retirement years enjoying the company of his family, learning new computer programs and playing golf.
He will be missed by family, friends and his Laurier alumni community.
