Print | PDFShohini Ghose, a professor of Physics and Computer Science at Wilfrid Laurier University, was included in The Quantum 100, UNESCO's list of global leaders in quantum science. The Quantum 100 was announced as part of the United Nations' International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ), recognizing 100 years since the initial development of quantum mechanics.
As a distinguished quantum physicist, educator and advocate, Ghose’s work has influenced quantum science and STEM communities worldwide. She serves as a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Chair for Women in Science and Engineering, as well as chief technology officer of the Quantum Algorithms Institute. Ghose is also the founding director of the Laurier Centre for Women in Science.
With more than 400 submissions from around the world, the Quantum 100 were selected by members of the IYQ steering committee, as well as global leaders from universities, research institutions, scientific societies, governments and industry.
