Happy holidays, future Golden Hawk! It’s time to celebrate!

At the end of a long year likely filled with your own mix of setbacks and fresh starts, it’s time to reflect on 2023 and look ahead to the new year. We hope you enjoy some time off - whatever that looks like – while our team at Laurier breaks for the holiday season. Our offices will be closed for the holiday season from December 21 until January 2, but we know that the holiday season is a perfect time to apply.

With that in mind, even though we may not be around to answer your questions in-person, we’ve put together a holly-jolly list of resources and next steps you can take as you gear up for an exciting and rewarding 2024. There’s no time like the present to get the answers you need!

Applying over the holidays?

Please note that if you submit your application to Laurier between December 21 and January 1, it will not be received and processed by our Admissions team until early January. You will not receive any emails or access to your Applicant Portal until then, but this delay will have no impact on how we review your application or your potential at Laurier. 

Check Your List Twice: Find the Answers You’re Looking For.

  • The fall application deadline (for Ontario high school students) is Jan. 15, 2024. For all other applicants, the deadline is April 1, 2024. See more dates and deadlines.
    • If you apply after the application deadline, you’ll be considered for your program if there’s still room in it.
  • Watch our Admissions Top Questions Video Series to get all your questions answered. 
    • Don't have time to watch the whole thing? We've added a jump to menu so you can skip to the answers you need most.
  • Talk to your parents or supporters about your applications before you submit them. We've got some conversation starters for you.

Set a New Year’s Resolution: Submit Your Application.

  • Check out your program page before starting your application. We've listed the admission requirements, OUAC codes, and more.
  • Complete your application on the OUAC over the holidays. Learn more about how to apply.

Put a Bow on It: Enhance Your Application.

  • Already submitted your application? Visit your applicant portal to get a head start on securing some scholarships and make sure we know exactly why you deserve an offer of admission.
  • Applying during the break? Read up on these next steps that will become available to you when the university reopens in January. (We just need to take a look at your application before we can open these forms up for you; you’ll have lots of time to submit before the deadlines, don’t worry!)

Strengthen Your Application

Complete the Applicant Background Summary (ABS) form or the Special Case and Extenuating circumstances form, both of which can be used when reviewing your application.

Make Some Money

Spend some of your free time over the holidays securing some cash to cover your tuition. Apply for an entrance bursary worth up to $1,500 and/or the Laurier Scholars Award worth $40,000! Yes, you read that right.... $40,000!
