Michael Pavlin is an assistant professor in the School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. Before joining Laurier, Pavlin was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Chicago Booth School Of Business. He received his PhD in Operations Management and MSc in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
His primary research interest is the use of optimization models in empirical studies of electricity markets and corporate financial decisions. On the theoretical side, he studies pricing and revenue management in the delivery of services. His recent papers have been accepted for publication in Financial Management and Manufacturing and Service Operations Management.
