Cancellations

All cancellations must be received in writing at fswprofessionaldevelopment@wlu.ca during office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. 

Two Weeks Prior to Start Date

Cancellations received more than two weeks before the start date are eligible for:

  • A refund, minus a 15% administration fee per course or workshop cancelled.
  • A credit of 100% of the registration fee paid. Credits are placed on your account and can be used for future registrations. Credits cannot later be refunded. 
  • Transfer to another course or workshop in the same academic year (July 1 to June 30), provided the course or workshop is not full.
  • Transfer the registration to a colleague by sending their name and email address to fswprofessionaldevelopment@wlu.ca.

Less Than Two Weeks Prior to Start Date

Cancellations received less than two weeks before the start date are eligible for:

  • A credit, minus a 15% administration fee per course or workshop cancelled. Credits are placed on your account and can be used for future registrations. Credits cannot later be refunded.
  • Transfer to another course or workshop in the same academic year (July 1 to June 30), provided the course or workshop is not full.
  • Transfer the registration to a colleague by sending their name and email address to fswprofessionaldevelopment@wlu.ca.

Day Before

Cancellations received the business day before the start of any an in-person, remote or online workshop or course are eligible for a credit minus a 35% administrative fee. You can also transfer the registration to a colleague by emailing their name and email address to fswprofessionaldevelopment@wlu.ca.

Non-Attendance

Cancellations or non-attendance on the day of an in-person or remote workshop or course are not eligible for a refund, credit or transfer. There are no refunds, cancellations or transfers for online courses after the start date.

Cancellations By the Professional Development Office

The Professional Development program may need to cancel a workshop or course due to inclement weather, low enrolment or instructor illness/emergency. If possible, we will do our best to reschedule the date. If you cannot attend on that date, you will be eligible for a full refund.

Discounts

Register for four or more workshops at once to receive a 10% discount*. Once you've added four or more workshops to your cart, click Apply a Discount under each workshop and select FSWPD 10% Discount from the drop-down menu. If you experience any issues with the discount, please contact the Professional Development office at fswprofessionaldevelopment@wlu.ca before registering as the discount cannot be applied retroactively.

We also offer a 50% discount on additional CBT Level II courses. Once you've completed the CBT certificate (both Level I and Level II) you are eligible to take other CBT Level II courses at a 50% discount. Contact the Professional Development office at fswprofessionaldevelopment@wlu.ca to request the discount code.

* The CBT program is exempt from the 10% discount. This includes the CBT Certificate, CBT Lunch and Learns, the Masterclass in CBT Supervision and the Supervision and Consultation Groups. The CBT Boot Camps are eligible for the discount.
