The Shannon Regan Young-Eun Lee Tribute Concert takes place Friday, Jan. 23 at Maxwell’s Concerts & Events in Kitchener. Doors open at 6 p.m., with music beginning at 7 p.m. The concert will feature performances by friends, loved ones and Shannon’s favourite bands, including Shannon’s original music, songs they loved, and the music of their band HouseCat.
In tandem with the concert, Shannon’s family and community have established the Shannon Lee Memorial Fund. The fund will support the Shannon Lee Memorial Bursary, intended to assist an undergraduate student in Laurier’s Faculty of Music who demonstrates community involvement and financial need. First preference will be given to a student who self-identifies as a member of a protected group. Community members are invited to support the fund through Hawkstarter.
Shannon passed away on Nov. 7, 2025, at the age of 24. Laurier shared a community remembrance story in November titled Remembering Shannon Lee (BMus ’23).
