Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Print | PDFWe are so proud of our alumnus Nauroz Tanya (BMus '18, MA '21), who amazed us with his composition Kurdish Dance, which the Toronto Symphony Orchestra played on Canada Day!
His Kurdish Dance was a beautiful tribute to his heritage and a celebration of diversity and inclusion in Canada.
Nauroz will be joining us again this Fall as a PhD student in Community Music.
Watch the video below and see for yourself how he brought the audience to their feet with his amazing talent and passion.
