As an oboist, I can be heard performing with orchestras throughout Southern Ontario. I currently hold positions with the Stratford Symphony and Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra. I have also performed with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Niagara Symphony, Elora Festival Orchestra, Spiritus Ensemble and Jeans ’n Classics Orchestra.
I have participated in festivals at the Banff Centre, Domaine Forget and Chautauqua Institution. I have also played in the Bowdoin Music Festival and Open Ears Festival.
As a soloist, I have performed concertos with the Kamloops Symphony, Stratford Symphony and Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra.
The oboe is a very beautiful but challenging instrument. I provide a supportive and encouraging approach to learning the oboe. Oboe lessons will focus on developing musicianship, a good embouchure, breath control, proper fingering, posture, tone and reed-making skills. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to discover the joys of playing the oboe!
