I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. When I was six, my fascination with musical instruments led me to begin studying the violin at my local music school. Thirteen years later, I graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory with a Master's in Violin Performance and Pedagogy. In 2026, I completed a second Master's degree in Music at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada.
From 2017 to 2021, I performed with internationally renowned ensembles, such as the Mariinsky Theatre and the Shostakovich Academic Philharmonic. I was also a permanent member of the Saint Petersburg Northern Symphony Orchestra for five years. Since moving to Canada, I have collaborated with organizations including Glatz Concerts, TO Live, KW Symphony, Ontario Philharmonic, Brantford Symphony Orchestra, and several other orchestras and chamber ensembles.
Throughout my professional career, I have always enjoyed sharing my passion for the violin with students of all ages and skill levels. My teaching methods combine technical foundation with creativity, helping each student achieve their individual goals - from learning favourite tunes to preparation for RCM examinations, auditions, or music competitions, or simply developing confidence and enjoyment through music.
One of my most unique teaching experiences was designing and teaching a ciolin and movement class at the University of Guelph for a prominent acrobat, helping her prepare to perform while playing the violin on a trapeze. I also enjoy introducing children to classical music through weekly solo performances at Magical Art Camp in Guelph, where young artists create drawings inspired by live music.
I believe that playing this unique instrucment, comparable to the human voice, develops important skills which bring people to success in other aspects of their lives. It disciplines attention, stimulates the ears, brain and muscles. It helps with wise planning and making a habit of achieving goals.
