I am a Toronto-based pianist, composer, and educator. Born in South Korea into a musical family, I began learning piano from my mother and started performing publicly across Vancouver Island shortly after moving to Canada.
I pursued my studies at the Eastman School of Music, the University of Toronto, and the Glenn Gould School, where I was the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards. I was named to the Dean’s List for academic excellence and received the Dean’s Scholarship, the Women’s Art Association of Canada Scholarship, the University of Toronto Music Award, and the Margaret Parsons-Poole and Clifford Poole Scholarship.
I have had the privilege of studying with renowned pianists and pedagogues including Bruce Vogt, Jamie Syer, Shigeo Neriki, and Enrico Elisi. In 2020, I completed my Artist Diploma at the Glenn Gould School, where I studied under the tutelage of the late Marietta Orlov.
As a soloist and chamber musician, I have performed extensively across Canada, the United States, Italy, France, and South Korea. My performances have taken place at venues including Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Kilbourn Hall, MacMillan Theatre, Studley Theatre, The Port Theatre, Château de Fontainebleau, Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, and Four Seasons Hotel Seoul.
I am an RCM-certified teacher and currently serve on the faculty at Branksome Hall while maintaining a private teaching studio in Toronto. I also work as a collaborative pianist at the University of Toronto and the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Glenn Gould School. In 2026, I am thrilled to join Wilfrid Laurier University as a coach-accompanist.
Beyond performing and teaching, I enjoy photography, coffee, soccer, and movies, and I am passionate about composing and creating new music. My compositions are currently published by Vancouver Island 4321 Publishing and are available through Amazon. I also have a cat named Tenuuto, and my latest album, KEY CAT’s First Steps, is available on major streaming platforms.
