Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

The Beckett School was founded by Garth and Marjorie Beckett in 1980, when both were on the piano faculty at Wilfrid Laurier University. The original vision of the Beckett School was to create a space where students in all the arts – music, visual arts, drama – could flourish.
In June 2015, the Beckett School became the Beckett School at Laurier and has continued the Beckett’s original vision to foster excellence and a love for the arts in students of all ages.
Beckett School at Laurier is located at 190 Lester Street, Waterloo on the Wilfrid Laurier University campus. Our facility offers inspiring instructional space, a beautiful early childhood music area and a recital room for our frequent performances. A secondary location is located near Pioneer Park at 68 Biehn Drive, Kitchener.
All students have the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings throughout our community.
