Print | PDFBorn in Toronto, Ontario, Elaine Glinos is currently in her third year of the Bachelor of Music Performance program at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she studies with Kimberly Barber. This year, she played the Countess in Opera Laurier’s excerpt from The Marriage of Figaro, and will be playing Rapunzel in their upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods. In the summer of 2022 she took part in Nuova Vocal Arts’ 6-week Emerging Artist Program in Edmonton, taking on the role of Fortuna in Monteverdi’s The Coronation of Poppea. Elaine is the recipient of the Martens-Falk Scholarship in Voice Performance, Laurier’s most prestigious entrance award for vocalists, and the Ken Murray Entrance Scholarship, which is awarded to the top first year student based on audition.
