Didn’t think my luck could get any worse
When the last day before the break, well, you said it first.
A mutual confession of romantic interest,
I’d waited over a whole year for it (and apparently so had you).
Were we dumb? Yeah, a bit.
But the world could (I don’t know) have given us a tip.
Your smile makes it hard to breathe
When we lock eyes I think I spike a fever
But I’d give away all my toilet paper
To spend this coronavacation situation with you.
We wanted a first date, just a movie would be fine.
But that never happened cause of corona-time,
Social distancing and self-isolation,
But I want more than digital communication.
Am I dumb? Sure, a bit.
But the world really should’ve just given me a tip, cause
Your smile makes it hard to breathe,
And when we lock eyes I think I spike a fever.
So I’d give away my hand sanitizer
To spend this coronavacation situation with you.
Now it’s been almost a year since that fateful March 13th,
A year of being away from you and stuck in quarantine.
I’ve gotten used to masks and gloves and the endless same routine,
But what I wouldn’t give to get a Covid vaccine…
Your smile makes it hard to breathe,
And when we lock eyes I think I spike a fever.
So I’d give away all my extra groceries,
Oh I’d give away all my 3D-printed face masks,
Yeah I’d give away what’s left of my sanity
To spend this coronavacation situation with you.
Someone Like You, Emily Bowman
I heard that you're settled down
That you found a girl and you're married now
I heard that your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things, I didn't give to you
Old friend, why are you so shy?
Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light
I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face
And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
"Don't forget me, " I beg
I remember you said
"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"
"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"
You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We were born and raised in a summer haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days
I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face
And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
"Don't forget me, " I begged
I remember you said
"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"
Nothing compares, no worries or cares
Regrets and mistakes, they're memories made
Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you
"Don't forget me, " I beg
I remember you said
"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
"Don't forget me, " I begged
I remember you said
"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"
"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"
“Road Trip”, Skylar Shelley (Skylark)
Sometimes I wanna run away
Leave everything, get out some way
Pack a bag and drive to who knows where
I see you’re feeling this way too
You’re sick of life
What else is new?
If we leave today, would anybody care?
So let’s drive away and wake up by the sea…
Driving in the starlight
Dancing in the moonlight
Everything will be okay
Sleeping in the backseat
Windows open, bare feet
Only living for today
Let’s get away
Away today
We’ll make our way to mountaintops
And stop at every coffee shop
Polaroids of only you and me
We’ll play our favourite music loud
While dancing under stormy clouds
Don’t know where we’re going, I guess we’ll see
‘Cuz we’re running from life’s problems, and we’re free
Driving in the starlight
Dancing in the moonlight
Everything will be okay
Sleeping in the backseat
Windows open, bare feet
Only living for today
Let’s get away
Away today
Empty roads and open skies
Sunsets reflecting in your eyes
I feel the storm is coming, then you’re gone
We were nomads running wild and free
Then life caught up to you and me
So stay with me and hold me tight, my road trip on a summer’s night…
Driving in the starlight
Dancing in the moonlight
Everything will be okay
Sleeping in the backseat
Windows open, bare feet
Only living for today
Driving in the starlight
Dancing in the moonlight
Everything will be okay
Sleeping in the backseat
Windows open, bare feet
Only living for today
Let’s get away
Away today
Folson Rhythm Blues, Caleb
I hear the train a comin'
It's rolling round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a rollin' on down to San Antone
When I was just a baby, my mama told me
"Son, always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns"
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowin', I hang my head and cry
I bet there's rich folks eating in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars
Well I know I had it coming
I know I can't be free
But those people keep on movin'
And that's what tortures me
Well if they freed me from this prison
If that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay
And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away
Heartbreak Anniversary, Kayla Greenham
Balloons are deflated
Guess they look lifeless like me
We miss you on your side of the bed, mmh
Still got your things here
They stay with me like souvenirs
Don't wanna let you out my head
Just like the day that I met you
The day I thought forever
Said that you love me
But that'll last for never
It's cold outside
Like when you walked out my life
Why you walked out my life?
I, get like this every time
On these days that feel like you and me
Heartbreak anniversary
'Cause I, remember every time
On these days that feel like you and me
Heartbreak anniversary
Do you ever think of me?
No
(Ooh) No-no, no
(Ooh, ooh, ooh) Ooh, nah
Ebb & Flow, Shatira Jackson
You get up you get dressed and your hair is a mess
Yeah I see the way that you look at yourself
Oh just know, that life ebbs and flows
There’s no you it’s just me staring at a screen
It’s no fun when you see the news on T.V let’s just breath
Can we all feel some ease
There’s not enough time in a day
To work study and play
So I take it by the minute,
I take it by the minute, I take it by the minute I....
We are here separate but still feel connected
How does this work that’s something that is special
It’s a place of comfort, can we all feel some ease
Instrumental Break
But I see, that’s the way it must be, just the way that it goes, life ebbs and flows
Ignorance, Will
If I'm a bad person, you don't like me
Well, I guess I'll make my own way
It's a circle, a mean cycle
I can't excite you anymore
Where's your gavel? Your jury?
What's my offense this time?
You're not a judge, but if you're gonna judge me
Well, sentence me to another life
Don't wanna hear your sad songs
I don't wanna feel your pain
When you swear it's all my fault
'Cause you know we're not the same
We're not the same
Oh, we're not the same
Yeah, the friends who stuck together
We wrote our names in blood
But I guess you can't accept that the change is good
It's good, it's good
Well, you treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir
I guess I'll go
I'd best be on my way out
You treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir
I guess I'll go
I'd best be on my way out
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
This is the best thing that could have happened
Any longer and I wouldn't have made it
It's not a war, no, it's not a rapture
I'm just a person, but you can't take it
The same tricks that, that once fooled me
They won't get you anywhere
I'm not the same kid from your memory
Well, now I can fend for myself
Don't wanna hear your sad songs
I don't wanna feel your pain
When you swear it's all my fault
'Cause you know we're not the same
We're not the same
Oh, we're not the same
Yeah, the friends who stuck together
We wrote our names in blood
But I guess you can't accept that the change is good
It's good, it's good
Well, you treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir
I guess I'll go
I'd best be on my way out
You treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir
I guess I'll go
I'd best be on my way out
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
Ignorance is your new best friend
Well, you treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir
I guess I'll go
I'd best be on my way out
You treat me just like another stranger
Well, it's nice to meet you, sir
I guess I'll go
I'd best be on my way out
I Just Can't Wait to Be Free (of COVID-19), Rowan Atkinson, Jason Weaver and CAIP
I'm gonna go to the parks, someday I will be free
Well, for now we must just stay inside, listen to the CDC
I'm gonna go be with friends like I never have before
I'm waiting for that day to come, then I’m headed out that door
Thus far, I’m not sure if you really see...
Oh, I just can't wait to be free
No one saying “don’t pet the dog”, no one saying “stay away”
No one saying “no campfires”, no one saying “you won’t get paid"
Free to run around all day, free to do it all my way
I think it's time that you and I arranged a heart to heart
I might need some advice, so we can do our part!
If you want to do your part, then you need to hear me out,
Wear a mask, wash your hands, and stay six feet apart
I’m really asking such a simple thing
Oh, I just can't wait to be free!
Everybody stay home, cause the more we stay home
The sooner we’ll be out hangin’ with the animals
Not yet!
Let every creature stay in and stay safe,
Let’s hear it in the herd, self-isolate
Let hope this is over by late spring
Oh, I just can't wait to be free
Oh, I just can't wait to be free
Oh, I just can't wait to be free
What I’ve Seen, Scott Michael
Although it’s cold right now
And you’re all alone right now
I know the snow will melt
And the trees will turn green
That’s just what I’ve seen
Times can get dark and dull
When Nothing seems beautiful
I know the sun will rise again
It is routine
That’s just what I’ve seen
just what ive seen
if it takes too long
try to be strong
try to be strong
try to be strong
Whatever you’re going through
do something nice for you
call up a friend, spend time away from all those screens
thats just what ive seen
just what ive seen
what ive seen
I know it's cold outside
but i hope ive clarified
i know the snow will melt
and the trees will turn green
thats just what ive seen.
LEAN ON ME, CM Ensemble Group
Verse 1
Sometimes in our lives
We all have pain, we all have sorrow.
But if we are wise,
We know that there's always tomorrow.
Chorus 1
Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on
For it won't belong
'Til I'm gonna need somebody to lean on.
Verse 2
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you won't let show.
Break Down 1
You just call on me, brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on.
I just might have a problem that you'll understand,
We all need somebody to lean on.
Chorus
Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need somebody to lean on
Break Down 2
You just call on me, brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on.
I just might have a problem that you'll understand,
We all need somebody to lean on.
Verse 3
If there is a load
You have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me.
Outro
Call me if you need a friend
Call me, call me, uh-huh
Call me when you need a friend
Call me if you ever need a friend
Call me, call me
Call me, call me
Call me, call me
Call me, call me
