We are a community and a family with several great opportunities to play incredible repertoires in our local ensembles. Kitchener-Waterloo has many groups that welcome undergraduate trumpeters, including the Waterloo Concert Band, Kitchener-Waterloo Community Orchestra, Wellington Winds, Ebytown Brass and numerous Salvation Army Bands.
Laurier is a highly respected university, which will provide you with a quality education. As a non-master's program, all bachelor’s degree trumpeters have equal opportunity to win leading roles in Laurier ensembles, such as community outreach performances.
Admission to the Bachelor of Music is based on the collective results of your audition, academics, theory and ear training test, interview, reference and optional portfolio.
Audition repertoire should be performed at a Grade 8 RCM level or higher. RCM formal training and exams are not required.

Sight-reading will be given. Please prepare all major scales and arpeggios.
