Co-op for Double Degree in Business and Financial Mathematics Students

Participants in the double degree program in Business Administration (BBA) and Financial Mathematics (BA) gain a sound understanding of business management and practices, and knowledge of mathematical models and computational methods used in business, industry and government.

How Co-op Works

This double-degree co-op program gives you the opportunity to develop skills and gain hands-on experience while completing three paid work terms lasting up to four months each.

You will enrol in co-op in your second year. You will get assistance with career planning, job search and interview preparation through the Fundamentals of Co-operative Education course. You will then apply to job postings and attend interviews

  • Business Finance Co-op, Ontario Public Service Business and Finance Community, Toronto – Prepare budge estimates and conduct financial and statistical analysis.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions Researcher, Perseus Group, Constellation Software Inc., Waterloo – Evaluate software companies and identify acquisition targets.
  • Financial Analyst, SodaStream Canada Ltd., Mississauga – Assist in forecast preparation, variance analysis, and journal entries.
