Earn Two Degrees Part Time

The Lazaridis Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Finance (MFin) double degree program is unique among Canadian business schools. This combined program provides you with the strategic leadership skills of the MBA and the full breadth and depth of the MFin degree that provides technical expertise needed for a successful career in asset management and investment banking.

You will learn in small classes with other highly motivated finance-focused individuals and leading finance professors from the Lazaridis School. The alternate-weekend, part-time delivery model allows students to balance work and family life.

The Lazaridis Master of Finance

Offered in the heart of Canada’s financial community in downtown Toronto, the MFin component involves 10-graduate level courses covering all of the Canadian Body of Knowledge (CBOK) for Level I and Level II; and, over 60% of Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams.

Admission Requirements

Domestic Applicants

  • A four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum B+ standing (77%) in the final year of university study, or most recent 10 half credit university degree courses.
  • Evidence of strong quantitative skills, with the mandatory completion of the GMAT test with a score of 620 or higher. The GMAT may be waived for applicants who have passed either CFA Level I or both Level I & II of the examination with strong performance.
  • Three professional references, or if you have completed any education within the last three years, two professional references and one academic reference is acceptable.
  • Applicants whose language of instruction during their undergraduate degree was a language other than English, must furnish evidence of proficiency in English prior to admission. A minimum score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) of 100 internet-based (iBT) (with minimum skill scores of 21 in each of the four skill sets), or TOEFL paper-based (pBT) minimum score of 600, or a minimum score of 7.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required.
  • At least two years of full-time work experience.

International Applicants

Canadian Student Visas cannot be given to those pursuing a part-time program, therefore international applicants are not eligible for the MBA with MFin program.
