Start preparing your schedule now to ensure LORIS registration is a breeze!
Don't forget to register before July 3 for the best course selection. Visit the first-year registration guide for information on how to register.
Registration is taking place from July 4 to 8 for returning students. Your registration time is referred to a time ticket, and is broken down by how many credits you’ve completed. To find your time, log onto LORIS and select Student Services > Registration > Add or Drop Classes > Select Fall 2016.
The breakdown of time ticket slots can also be found at wlu.ca/registrar.
Use ScheduleMe, our visual schedule builder, to help you build your schedule before it’s time to register! ScheduleMe will generate all possible conflict-free timetables containing the courses you selected, and will display them in an easy-to-read weekly schedule. Each unique schedule developed in ScheduleMe has its own URL. This makes it easy to bookmark your favourite schedules, and to pull them up when you’re ready to register!
The Dynamic Class Schedule allows you to search for individual classes and see when they are offered, space remaining in each section, and what course restrictions exist. This tool is great to ensure you are in the appropriate major and have the correct prerequisites for the courses you are selecting. If you are not, you will receive a “Major Restriction” or “Prerequisite” LORIS error message. When time tickets open, most students will only be able to enrol in courses in their major. For some courses, the major restriction will be lifted and electives will become available on July 11 at 12:01 a.m. This means that you will likely have to log onto LORIS twice to complete your registration.
ScheduleMe and the Dynamic Class Schedule can help you build your schedule, but if you’re not sure of your requirements, check out the Academic Calendar. You can also reach out to your academic advisor for guidance on course selection.
Service Laurier will be available to help during your registration time. There will also be peers available to help troubleshoot LORIS issues on July 4 to 7 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. by calling 519.756.8228 x5702.
