WATERLOO and BRANTFORD — Wilfrid Laurier University will celebrate the accomplishments of more than 1,800 students at fall convocation ceremonies on its Waterloo and Brantford campuses.
The Waterloo campus will host six convocation ceremonies at the Lazaridis Hall Auditorium on Oct. 16 and 17. A Brantford campus convocation ceremony will take place at the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts on Oct. 21.
As of Oct. 8, 1,634 students qualified to graduate in Waterloo, while 174 qualified in Brantford. Laurier expects to confer 1,315 undergraduate degrees, 431 graduate degrees and 62 diplomas this month.
As part of fall convocation ceremonies, financial leader Barbara Stymiest will receive an honorary degree and philanthropist Paul Williamson will receive the Order of Wilfrid Laurier University.
Tickets are required for all Laurier convocation ceremonies. Members of the media are asked to RSVP to attend. For more information about convocation, visit wlu.ca/convocation.
