Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.


Whether you're a guest for a conference or staying at Hotel Laurier, we want to ensure that you have a pleasant and safe stay with us.​​

The following information and policies apply to any guests of Laurier's accommodations and venues: 

Conference Guests

Check-In Procedure

Flexible check-in and check-out times can be arranged for conference groups.

Campus Safety

Special Constable Service is open 24 hours a day to assist guests with questions or concerns. The office is located on the main campus by the dining hall and can be contacted by dialling 519.885.3333.

Damages

Guests are responsible for any damages to campus facilities and charges will be applied to the final invoice.

Keys

A minimum lock replacement fee of $100 is charged for keys not returned at check-out.

Pets

With the exception of service animals, pets are not permitted in any university buildings.

Smoking​

Smoking is prohibited inside and within 10 meters of all university buildings.

Alcohol

Guests are subject to provincial liquor regulations.

Amenities

All rooms are supplied with a pillow, blanket, two sheets, two towels, soap and a cup. Card-operated laundry facilities are available in most residences. Daily housekeeping is not provided.

Supervision

Youth groups (under age 18) staying in residence require adult chaperones at a ratio of 1:10.

General Liability Insurance

Organizations are required to carry a minimum $2 million liability insurance policy. Facility insurance can also be purchased from Conference Services.​

Hotel Laurier Guest Information

Check-In Procedure

Check-in for all buildings is located in the Hotel Laurier office in the King Street Residence (200 King Street North). Check-in time is after 2 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. The Hotel Laurier office is open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Payment

Forms of payment accepted at check-in include debit, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Photo identification and a valid credit card are required at check-in.

Damages

Guests are responsible for any damages to campus facilities and charges will be applied to the credit card on file.

Keys

A lock replacement fee of between $100–$350 is charged for keys not returned at check-out.
