Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.
Senior Campus Ambassador
Fourth-Year Economics
Ancaster, ON

Hello Future Golden Hawks!

My name is Elyssa Catanzaro, and I am in my fourth year of Economics with a Business Management option and a minor in Environmental Studies. This is my second year on the ambassador team and currently I have taken on the role as one of the senior ambassadors.

One of my favourite things about Laurier is the close-knit community. It is a pretty amazing feeling to walk through a university campus and see so many smiling, familiar faces on a daily basis. The students here truly love their school and it shows through our school spirit and the support everyone has for each other.

Over the last three years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many new people by getting involved in the numerous clubs Laurier has to offer. I have participated in intramural volleyball and powder puff football, and have been part of Orientation Week as an icebreaker. I also became an instructor for the recreational dance program this past year, which was a great way for me to continue my passion for dance.

Laurier truly has something for everyone, and I cannot wait to help you find your place here. Choosing Laurier has been the best decision I have ever made and I hope to see your smiling faces around campus next year!
