Laurier is making daily decisions and service adjustments to contain the spread of COVID-19. Our goal is to keep the Laurier community informed of these updates in a timely and accurate manner. Visit the wlu.ca/coronavirus website for the latest information and the Remote Learning Student Hub site for academic, mental health and social supports.
We’re collecting stories of sharing, helping and kindness submitted by members of university community. Share your stories by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or tag Laurier in your social media posts.
May 5 key updates:
1. What does Stay Golden mean to you? For a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card, we’re asking current students to tell us what #StayGolden means to you. Send us a video via DM on Facebook or Instagram. Don't forget to introduce yourself and share your program and year. We're going to share these videos with future students. We are accepting submission until May 12.
Tips: film yourself (or have someone film you) with enough background and space around you. That way we can crop if needed. Also, film yourself on the highest resolution possible. Landscape orientation works best, but if that doesn't work for you, don't stress. We can't wait to see all your lovely faces!
2. The Laurier COVID-19 Emergency Fund is being promoted as part of today’s #GivingTuesdayNow campaign – a global day of giving and unity as an emergency response to the need caused by COVID-19. Faculty and staff are following Laurier Alumni on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter to help amplify our message and generate support for Laurier students in this time of real need. There are also some resources available to help people get started.
