Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Note: These protocols are in effect for the winter 2022 term until May 1, 2022.
A visitor is any person attending university property to participate in a university-sponsored or university-organized event or activity. As permitted by provincial legislation, this does not include customer interactions in a retail setting or quick service for food.
Laurier requires visitors to its campuses and locations to have their vaccination status and COVID-19 screening results verified by the Laurier staff or faculty member hosting them. Check with event organizers for more specific event protocols.
Each visitor will be asked to produce proof of full vaccination as well as identification that includes their name and date of birth. Photo ID is not required but is an easy method to verify.
Visitors can produce proof of vaccination prior to entering a campus building by providing either a paper or electronic version of their vaccine certificate with a QR code; the host will verify with Verify Ontario mobile application and compare visitor’s name against proof of vaccination.
Note: Contractors and university partners who have recurring relationships with the university are verified through a separate process.
Visitors without Laurier SSO credentials can submit a COVID-19 self-assessment through the Visitors COVID-19 Screening Assessment Form.
As Laurier follows its recovery process, all people attending a Laurier campus or location have a responsibility to help maintain the health and safety of our community.
Staff and faculty can review protocols for verifying a visitor's vaccine status on Connect.
