A visitor is any person attending university property to participate in a university-sponsored or university-organized event or activity. As permitted by provincial legislation, this does not include customer interactions in a retail setting or quick service for food.
Laurier requires visitors to its campuses and locations to have their vaccination status and COVID-19 screening results verified by the Laurier staff or faculty member hosting them.
Each visitor will be asked to produce proof of full vaccination as well as identification that includes their name and date of birth. Photo ID is not required but is an easy method to verify.
Visitors can produce proof of vaccination through two methods prior to entering a campus building:
The proof of vaccination needs to include the visitor’s name, date of vaccination, and brand of vaccine.
Note: Contractors and university partners who have recurring relationships with the university are verified through a separate process.
Visitors without Laurier SSO credentials can submit a COVID-19 self-assessment through the Visitors COVID-19 Screening Assessment Form.
As Laurier follows its recovery process, all people attending a Laurier campus or location have a responsibility to help maintain the health and safety of our community.
We're excited to welcome prospective students and their families back to our Waterloo and Brantford campuses to participate in guided tours with our Laurier student ambassadors. Tours run at various times, Monday through Saturday, and have limited spaces available. We ask that you keep guests to a minimum and that only those in your immediate family participate.
Staff and faculty can review protocols for verifying a visitor's vaccine status on Connect.
