Parking and Building Access Restrictions Around the Solarium Area – Tuesday, May 19th and Wednesday, May 20, 2026

Please note that on Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20, 2026, craning operations will be taking place around the Solarium to support the FNCC AHU Project.

For safety reasons, the following temporary restrictions will be in place during this period:

• Parking Lot Closure: The Gold Permit Parking Lot 11 (accessed from University Avenue, adjacent to the Dining Hall) will be closed.  Accessible parking is available in the adjacent Lot 10 (Savvas Chamberlain Music Building).To locate alternate parking areas, please view The Waterloo Campus Interactive Map. 
• Walkway and Entrance Closure: The walkway and entrance from Lot 11 and University Ave to the Solarium will be closed.
• Interior Access and Solarium Closure: The interior hallway by the Solarium connecting Arts E and the Paul Martin Centre will be closed. In addition, the Solarium will not be accessible during this period.
• Courtyard Closure: The exterior courtyard between the Solarium and FNCC will be closed.
• Emergency Exit Restriction: All building exits leading into the affected closed areas will be restricted and should be used for emergency purposes only.

We ask that you please follow and respect all signage and barriers that will be in place for this work.

The map below outlines in red the temporary closures that will be in place to accommodate the craning work associated with the FNCC AHU Project.
