This work will require the verification of devices (detectors, fire extinguishers, pull stations, emergency lighting, exit signage, etc.) in individual offices, classrooms, and any other location in which these may be installed.
In academic/administrative locations, testing of signalling devices (bells, horns, sirens, strobes) will be performed before 8:00am on the days noted. In residence locations, testing of signalling devices will be conducted during the day. During this time, flashing of strobe lights will occur in buildings where installed. Personnel from Richardson Fire Systems to be performing all verification activities with support from Laurier's Facilities and Asset Management department. No action is required unless otherwise indicated by the on-site staff.
