Roofing Projects on the Waterloo Campus - July to September 2026

The Facilities and Asset Management department would like to inform the Laurier community of upcoming construction projects scheduled to take place on the Waterloo campus over the next few months.

Please review the details below, including expected impacts to campus areas.

Student Services Building - Roof Replacement
Location: Exterior, Student Services Building
Duration: July 3, 2026 through to August 2026
Scope of Work: Replacement of the low and steep-sloped roofs, eavestroughs, downspouts, and soffits at the Student Services Building.
Expected Impacts:
- Fencing and scaffolding installed around the Student Services Building.
- Intermittent disruptions to walkways. Please follow directions of site personnel and the posted signage/barriers.
- Outdoor construction noise, dust, vibrations, and odours related to construction activities.

Arts Concourse - Roof and Skylight Replacement
Location: Exterior and Interior, Arts Concourse and DAWB
Duration: July 6, 2026 through to September 2026
Scope of Work: Replacement of the low sloped roof and skylights at the Arts Concourse.
Expected Impacts:
- Fencing and scaffolding installed south of the DAWB.
- Interior disruptions in the concourse with areas blocked off, primarily around the skylights. Please follow directions of site personnel and the posted signage/barriers.
- Outdoor construction noise, dust, vibrations, and odours related to construction activities.
