Parking Impacts During the 2026 Ontario Summer Games – July 30 to August 2, 2026

Laurier will welcome athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators to its Waterloo campus from Thursday, July 30 to Sunday, August 2, 2026 as part of the Waterloo Region 2026 Ontario Summer Games. 

During this time, please expect increased activity and traffic in all parking areas in and around residence buildings. To accommodate event operations, the following parking lots will be temporarily closed:

• Student White Permit Parking
  • Lot 3B (west of Alumni Field)
  • Lot 36 (Lodge Administration Building)

• Student and Staff Gold/White Permit Parking
  • Lot 37 (Northdale, located on Hickory Street)
  • Lot 9 (University Stadium) – closure on Thursday, July 30^th only to facilitate the opening ceremony.

 All other permit parking areas will remain open to permit holders. Please refer to The Waterloo Campus Interactive Map for alternate parking locations.

We ask that you please follow and respect all signage and barriers that will be in place for this event.
