There are two ways you can support your application to Laurier.
At Laurier, we believe extracurricular involvement and personal achievements are important. You can choose to submit extracurricular information that may be used for admission consideration by submitting the Applicant Background Summary (ABS) form after you apply. The form is optional but we do recommend you fill it out. Applicants to the Faculty of Music do not need to complete the form as additional information is collected through the audition process.
Note: If you have applied to more than one Laurier program on your OUAC application, you only need to submit the ABS form once.
Submit the Applicant Background Summary form within two weeks of applying to Laurier.
If you believe any present or recent circumstances have adversely affected your ability to achieve a strong academic standing, you may provide supporting details through a personal statement addressed to Laurier's Recruitment and Admissions office. You can choose to submit this information by email to email@example.com or by mail. You should submit this information within two weeks of applying to Laurier.
Note: This is a different review process from the Applicant Background Summary (ABS) form. Should you choose to submit the electronic ABS form, please do not include information about extenuating circumstances. These items should be submitted separately.
