Cementing its reputation as an innovative space for visual culture at Wilfrid Laurier University and beyond, the Robert Langen Art Gallery’s (RLAG) upcoming In) Formation exhibition by Alice Teichert unveils a new model for the Gallery. This model intersects two worlds that historically have been separate, the not-for-profit and the commercial.
This inaugural exhibition launches a pioneering partnership initiative by the Laurier Library and RLAG with leading commercial galleries to offer the Waterloo Region exposure to Canadian and International contemporary artists and their work. This initiative will create synergies and community cultural connections, stimulate art appreciation, nurture the philosophy of art collection and inspire art collectors, seasoned and new.
Born in Paris, Alice studied music, philosophy and visual arts in Belgium and France. Since 1989, she has built an international career with over 30 solo exhibitions in Germany, France, NY, Canada, Switzerland and Australia.
