Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Bachelor of Business Technology Management
Portfolio Analyst, Deloitte Canada

“I am proud to say that I was part of the very first graduating class for the Business Technology Management (BTM) program at Laurier. This was also the first business program under the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics to be located at the Brantford campus. Our class sizes were fairly small, which made it a unique learning experience and gave me the opportunity to know my classmates and professors very well.

Since graduation last fall, I have been working full-time at Deloitte as a resource analyst on the planning and project services team. Most recently, I’ve transitioned into a new position as portfolio analyst. Aside from work, I’ve had the opportunity to travel a lot throughout the year, visiting various countries in Europe.

My Lazaridis School education has helped ease the transition from being a student to a working professional. In my current role, I am able to use knowledge I gained during my studies. Additionally, I am a huge advocate for going through the co-op program. I successfully completed my final co-op work term at Deloitte, which is how I was able to secure a full-time position after graduation.”
