Sarah Somerville is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Lecturer in Accounting at Wilfrid Laurier University's Lazaridis School of Business and Economics.
Sarah has spent her career at KPMG LLP, working in Audit and with KPMG's National CPA Program team. Through her work in Audit, she has developed extensive experience in assurance and accounting, while her work with the National CPA Program has allowed her to contribute to the design and delivery of CPA education across Canada.
A Laurier alumna herself, Sarah is passionate about helping students connect what they learn in the classroom to their future careers. She loves mentoring students and supporting them in achieving both academic and career success. She strives to create a supportive learning environment where students can build their confidence, develop practical skills and see the many opportunities available to them within the accounting profession.
