I hold a PhD in Economics from McMaster University and a Master of Arts in Business Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University. Prior to joining Laurier, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Gender and the Economy in the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
My research lies at the intersection of labour economics, public policy, and applied microeconomics. I study how social policies such as parental leave, childcare, and public pensions shape employment decisions, earnings trajectories, and economic well-being of historically underserved populations. My current projects examine childcare accessibility and affordability in Canada and the role of access to childcare in supporting labour market participation and family well-being.
