Graduated from the University of Guelph with an MBA in 1999 and a PhD in Agricultural Economics and Business in 2010.
Academic background has been supplemented with 30 years of experience in frontline management in both day-to-day and medium term operations planning and in consumer product marketing.
I believe in a strong linkage between marketing and production. This is based on the premise that consumer demand can only be realistically determined through frontline sales staff and that it must be directly explained and described to the people that actually make products. This is in direct contrast to the misguided belief that a handful of individuals that have little or no contact with either customers or production personnel can provide products that people want.
