After graduating with an MASc from the University of Waterloo, Karen worked in industry for 15 years in a number of progressive roles including HR Manager, HR Director, and management consultant. She later returned to school to pursue advanced studies, and received a PhD in Organizational Behaviour from the Ivey School of Business at Western in 2013. She is now an Assistant Professor in the OB/HRM area group. She enjoys teaching, research, and casewriting.
Karen's research interests include employee voice, leadership, followership, candour and leader-member exchange (LMX).
