Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

One of the key ways that the Lazaridis School provides such a high degree of student satisfaction is by hosting a wide array of enriching and thought-provoking events over the course of the academic year.

These events and competitions add value to the Lazaridis School in several ways:

  • Our students gain exposure to companies and executives, bringing together what they learn in the classroom with what they can expect in the working world.
  • Our faculty and researchers gain a forum from which to share their ideas and discuss the ‘next big thing.’
  • Our corporate partners gain an opportunity to advance their relationship with the Lazaridis School while contributing to the education of the next generation of business professionals.

Many of the events and competitions listed below depend on the generous support of our corporate partners. Support can come in many forms, including sponsorship, participating as a judge or mentoring student groups. If you, or your organization would like to be involved, don’t hesitate to reach out to Mary-Joy Aitken, director of development at the Lazaridis School.
