Ibrahim Gedeon is one of the global telecommunication industries most respected executives. He was Chief Technology Officer at TELUS for more than 20 years, which is one of Canada's
and the world's leading telecom companies. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the American University of Beirut, a master’s in electrical electronics engineering from Carlton, and an honorary doctorate of law from UBC.
He's won numerous awards over the years, including being named four times the global telecom business magazines Power 100. He's a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He's been named one of Alberta's 50 most influential people.
He's also a chef and a gregarious host. And in fact, his first book was a cookbook called From the Heart. Ibrahim is the co-author of a new book Automata: The Power of AI integrated with Advanced Robotics, which received the Telecom Review Book of the Year award.
