I earned my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Carleton University, Department of Systems and Computer Engineering. My MSc and BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Technogy, Baghdad, Iraq. Prior to joining Wilfrid Laurier University, I taught at several universities in Canada and internationally.
The National Public History Award was presented in recognition of the development of the Rideau Timescapes app. The award was conferred upon the Rideau Timescapes project team (2012).
