Dr. Haytham Qushtom holds a BSc in Computer Information Systems from Al-Quds Open University (2011), an MSc in Computer Science from Arab American University (2017), and a PhD in Computer Science from Toronto Metropolitan University (2023). He is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Wilfrid Laurier University.
He specializes in distributed systems, blockchain technologies, artificial intelligence, large language models, databases, information retrieval, and data analytics. His research focuses on reliable, scalable, and intelligent computing systems, including consensus mechanisms, trust and reward models, blockchain-based IoT systems, and emerging applications of multi-agent AI systems.
Dr. Qushtom has over six years of teaching experience in Canadian post-secondary education and has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in several areas of computer science.
